Where amazing happens, Online Literature Community

Most of you, I believe, may be the trackers of the hot-broadcast HBO TV series The Game of Thrones, which has conquered many picky spectators from different countries and regions in recent years and raised a hot wave of adaptation of online literature works around the globe.

When George Martin picked up his pen and began his writing of this masterpiece of medieval fantasy literature-A Song of Ice and Fire, he might not foresee that his writing career would be so firmly connected with this book in the future.

The successful adaptation of his work into popular TV series has brought him considerable influence and fame, as well as, raised a hot-discussed issue about how internet can serve as an incubator and accelerator to facilitate the success of both traditional and modern literature works and reshape the way people write and think about literature works.

Nowadays, more and more emerging budding writers choose online platform to deliver their literature works to their targeted readers and share their conceptions and inspirations with them. Vice versa, literature fans are getting more influential on the creation of literature works of their favored writers including the set of plots, the development of the story lines, the ending of the novel and even the publication of the works. For example, E.L. James, the author of The Fifty Shades of Green, serialized this novel for free on some online literature communities and gained some early-stage attention from literature fans. This novel with SM inclination and erotic descriptions, originated form famous series movies The Twilight Saga, was published in May, 2011, as a fan fiction and has brought E.L. James worldwide reputation. Then, a sequent hot wave of literature works adaptation swept from the West to the East.
It’s evident that online literature community is making history. As a new literature engine, it provides a platform for writers who have big literature dreams, establishes a dialogue system between readers and writers and creates a new mechanism for people to discuss about literature and make it into a real business. It’s an engine that accelerates thoughts and ideas of literature to take into shape just like what the traditional literature salon did in the 19th century Europe literature circles.

Online literature communities can be roughly divided into two categories: the traditional ones like The Paris Review Daily, The Los Angeles Review of Books, The New Inquiry and The Book Riot and others like Ficfun(www.ficfun.com), Wattpad, Fanfiction, which can be suitable for differentiated literature taste and reading demands. Every day in these literature communities, writers with great potential are creating new fictions and myriads of new ideas about literature are conveyed and converged. In the future, more wonders of books will come out right from here and people can experience the magic of online literature community.

We have witnessed many business wonders created by internet and online literature communities. We see people from different cultural backgrounds communicating with each other through online platforms and clicking on their keyboard to compose their literature works, just want to share what they view about the world and just want to find the similar frequency emitted out from the cosmos.

We’re here, can you find us?
